Or a designer for that matter.
I will probably not touch design work again for the next 10 years.
Maybe some doodles and stuff, but definitely no more InDesign for me.
I am removing that from my dock.
I will be burning my portfolio.
The last half a decade has taught me enough for me to know what I don't want.
The only waste, is that I leave the school having not learnt what I came to learn.
But for the people met, and the people I met through those people, it might just begin to be worth it.
If I had not met Shiuan, I wouldn't have met the Chengs and their craziness. Having not met the Chengs, Eunice would never have gotten me into Puzzle Pirates. And then I wouldn't have bumped into Hs. And I would never have known Cy, or Jy, or been introduced to stars in the sky. Or be this inspired about learning again.
I would never have met the crazy eccentric colleagues at my internship company, who have ended my long, frustrating journey as a design student on a good note, finally.
And now like a caged bird faced with an open door, I'm not sure where to go.
Is it really too late? I feel like I've been left behind.
